A fun group of forms I get to work with on regular basis are my glass Starfish, Fish weights and Tide Pool weights. These fun small forms are inspired by my time living on the Oregon coast and growing up on Whidbey Island. They give me a chance to try many different colors together and watch how they interact and create a design.
Recently I have found the joy of "cold working" or grinding on glass. These pieces are from my Strata Series, they have been carved using water cooled diamonds and then etched in acid to give them a soft matte finish. The process and planning in carving the surfaces take several hours and creates theses intricate designs.
The Incalmo technique is one of my favorites, it is created by forming glass on two different pipes and joining them together. It creates a clearly defined joint that I use it in  the designs of my vase and platters.
